Layering and illuminating paper cuttings give depth to the art piece, just like what we have discovered during the tutorial on 'lines'. A brilliant example showcasing the combination of two separate skills we have acquired over the course of the semester.
In Architecture:
This is actually the Al-Ansar Mosque in Singapore. The intricate cut outs creates dramatic patterns when light passes through.
Not sure if these buildings were inspired by paper cuttings but they sure do remind me of it!
