Accompanying Statement
At the end
of the day, a foul and sickening toad resides in each and every one of us. A symbol
of the things that hold us back, the toad carries different meanings for different
individuals.
We obsess
over motivational quotes and success stories in a bid to rid ourselves of our
toad, but are ultimately overwhelmed by what life throws at us. Those
inspirations are nothing but temporary solace, and we are eventually rendered powerless.
For one,
the toad could represent practicality. For others, it could represent a fear of
change, conformity, or even a loss of childhood innocence, where one is
critically aware of the futility of chasing dreams as well as the lack of a
real choice or say in such matters.
